Matt & Joanna Black and the family band.

Bio

Matt and Joanna Black and their two daughters have joined together to form Matt and Joanna Black & The Family Band. They write songs about finding hope, healing, and purpose through Jesus in the middle of a broken world. Their sound is rooted in warm acoustic guitar and cello, carried by earthy lead vocals and harmonies that feel both pure and human.

The heart of their music is simple: to point people to Jesus. Some songs come across like a friend sharing life over coffee, while others rise into bold anthems of faith. What ties it all together is a desire to make music that is honest, approachable, and rooted in timeless truths contained in God’s Word, the Bible.

Their listeners are a mix of believers who want to grow deeper in faith and those still wrestling to find meaning and purpose in life, wanting to know if Jesus truly is the answer. What they share in common is a hunger for music that feels real — songs that can meet them in everyday struggles while pointing them in truth to God revealed to us in Jesus.

For Matt and Joanna Black & The Family Band, music isn’t just about sound. It’s about making disciples of Jesus.
