Letting Go and Breaking Through

Last year we contracted with another Christian artist, Kevin Winebarger. He is an artist that mentors other Christian artists, owns Courage Music Marketing, and is helping us reach more ears and hearts with our music (Listen to his newest release Turn It Around here). We haven’t had a clue how to increase our listenership on any of the streaming platforms, but he has helped us overcome this. We have been amazed that our listenership went from 46 monthly listeners on Spotify to over 10k monthly listeners (bot-free) at the peak of our campaign, and this is promoting our older music! When we release our new songs and launch new campaigns around them we expect these numbers to grow much more.

All of this has been a big step of faith for us. It’s been humbling for me. I like to have all the answers. I like to do everything myself. I’m one of THOSE people. God bless Joanna, y’all. At 52 I am finally learning to let go of the habit I have of getting to the end of myself and getting stuck. We are truly counting the cost and learning what it will really take to reach the world for Christ communicating through music and other forms of media. We will be inviting each of you to play a part in this—from sharing, liking, posting, funding, and speaking into our process. We want to do this with you and for you and most importantly for people who need to hear the Gospel—who need to hear through these songs how much God’s love can change their lives. We want to help people to find Jesus and grow deeper in their understanding of Him through these emails and help people walk through the world and all of its challenges in the midst of some very dark times.

What about you? Are you the type that wants to do it all yourself?

If you’ve found some freedom here and how God helped you do it, reply and share it with us!

In Blessed Fellowship,

Matt
